Terms of Service
Effective July 4, 2026
The service
Transcriptube provides tools for fetching publicly available YouTube caption tracks, converting subtitle files and, through its Telegram bot and API, processing transcripts. The site tools are free within fair use; we may throttle abusive traffic to keep the service available for everyone.
Acceptable use
Use the tools for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to overwhelm the service, resell raw access to it without an agreement, or use it to infringe the rights of content creators. Transcripts and captions belong to the creators of the videos they come from; you are responsible for how you use the text you obtain.
No affiliation
Transcriptube is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. Caption tracks are produced by video creators or by YouTube's automatic systems, and we make no promises about their accuracy or availability. We may change or discontinue features at any time.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Transcriptube is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim, which for free tools is zero.
API and bot
API keys are personal and may be revoked for abuse. Bot credits are consumed per job, shown before confirmation, and are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it.
